Hello again, fashion friends! For our second blog post, we’re opening the doors to our Columbia, Maryland studio to show you what happens behind the scenes at Tvsport Online.
Morning Inspiration
Our day starts early at 8:30 AM with coffee and a quick team huddle. Each morning, we share something that caught our eye – maybe a vintage photo, a color combination from nature, or feedback from a customer. These little sparks often grow into our best ideas!
Our design table is covered with fabric swatches, sketches, and mood boards. The morning light through our east-facing windows makes colors pop and helps us see exactly how fabrics will look in real life.
From Idea to Sample
A big part of our day involves turning ideas into actual clothing. Here’s a peek at that process:
- We sketch designs on paper first, the old-fashioned way
- Next, we select fabrics that match our vision – touching them, draping them, making sure they feel right
- Our pattern maker creates the template for cutting fabric
- We stitch together a sample and try it on different body types
- The team gives honest feedback (sometimes brutally honest!)
- We make changes, then test again until everyone says “wow!”
Afternoon Photography
After lunch, we often have photo sessions. We don’t use professional models – instead, our team members, friends, and even customers volunteer to show how our clothes look on real women with different shapes and sizes.
Our photography corner is simple: natural light, a few plants, and a clean background. We want the clothes to be the star, not fancy backdrops or tricky lighting.
Customer Connection Time
The last part of our workday is dedicated to you! We read every email, review, and social media comment. Your feedback shapes what we create next.
Some days we laugh at funny customer stories, other days we problem-solve shipping issues, but we always end the day grateful for the women who choose to wear our clothes.
The Magic Moments
Our favorite studio moments? When someone puts on a sample we’ve been working on for weeks and their face lights up. That “this is exactly what I’ve been looking for!” moment tells us we’re on the right track.
